When is the best time to visit Bhutan?

The best time to visit Bhutan is typically February to May, and October to November. During the spring months of March to May, the famous rhododendrons bloom, flooding the valleys with color. In October the Himalayan peaks are at their most visible with the clear skies which make the best time for trekking on the cold side. To see the rare black-necked cranes, visit the Phobjikha Valley between late October and mid-February. It is generally hotter and more humid from June to September when the monsoon rains cover the mountains.
