The magnificent modern royal sites of Bangkok dazzles travelers with amazing golden pagodas. The Grand Palace exhibits a mixture of traditional Thai and European Neo-classic architecture. As we travel northward, we visit the majestic ancient capitals of Siam, Sukhothai and Ayutthaya. Next are the quaint archaeological ruins of Kamphaeng Phet. Finally, we reach the northern capital of Chiang Mai where a grand temple sits at the top of a 5,250 ft summit. Chiang Mai offers serene scenic views, charming people and local handicrafts from the nearby mountain tribes.

Karen Long Neck Hill Tribe

There are around 6 main mountain tribes in northern Thailand, each has its own culture, language and religion. One of the tribes is the Karen. Their women put brass rings on their neck starting from 5 or 6 years old and add more rings every year.

    Welcome to Bangkok, the vibrant capital city of Thailand that dazzles visitors with its vivid contrasts – serene temples, gardens and royal palaces amid ultra-modern skyscrapers and bustling city crowds. Upon arrival into Bangkok, you'll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free to relax and enjoy the hotel or explore this capital city on your own.

    Bangkok | City Tour

    We kick off our journey with a long tail boat ride along the Chao Phraya River.  We will visit Wat Arun (the Temple of Dawn), the Grand Palace, Wat Phra Kaew (Emerald Buddha), Wat Traimit (Golden Buddha Temple) and Wat Pho(Reclining Buddha).

    Bangkok - Ayutthaya | Temples of Ayutthaya

    Depart to Ayutthaya, the former capital of Siam (1350-1767). Part of the Ayutthaya Historical Park has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will visit Wat Phra Sri Sanphet (three sacred pagodas), large Buddha of Phra Mongkol Bophit, Wat Chai Wattanaram, Wat Chaimongkol, Bang Pa-In Royal Palace (Summer Palace).

    The Khmer style Buddhist monastery is a Royal temple used by the King and members of the Royal family

    Ayutthaya was destroyed by the Burmese army in the 18th century. There are remains of hundreds of fascinating temples.

    Ayutthaya – Kamphaeng Phet| Lop Buri, Kamphaeng Phet

    Depart to Lop Buri, one of Thailand’s oldest cities and an important outpost of Khmer Empire. We will journey off the beaten path visit to see the Hindu monument in Prang Sam Yod, 17th century Ayutthayha King Narai’s palace and Kampagheng Phet Historical Park, a world heritage site.

    Kamphaeng Phet –Lampang | Sukhothai Historical Park

    Today we step back in time to 13th century Siam Kingdom. The Sukhothai Historical Park ruins are one of Thailand’s most impressive World Heritage Sites.  It showcases the beginnings of Thai architecture. We’ll visit many ruins and temples including Wat Mahathat temple, Wat Sri Sawai temple, Wat Sra Sir, Wat Sri Chum (a Speaking Buddha), Sri Satchanalai Historical Park and Wat Chang Lom (elephants temple).

    Lampang - Chiang Mai | Temple & Handcraft

    We visit Wat Phrakaew Dontao (Emerald Buddha temple). And then continue to Chiang Mai. Enroute to Chiang Mai, we visit Wat Pra That Doi Suthep at 5,250 ft summit of Doi Suthep mountain and national park. Enjoy the panoramic view from the temple. Followed by visit to Bo Srang (“umbrella village”) and  Sankamphaeng village for the renowned decorative umbrella , Thai silk, lacquerware, celadon (a grayish green porcelain) and other handicraft. Bargaining politely with the sellers is recommended.

    After breakfast, the tour comes to an end.  Please inform us of your international flight details in order to schedule your airport transfer to Chiang Mai International Airport (CNX).
