When is the Best Time to Visit India?

The best time is generally October through March when it is warm, sunny and dry. The tourist crowds are thinner during the hot shoulder season months of April and September.

September is pleasant with comfortable temperatures and low chances of rain. If you are looking for ayurvedic treatments then you may prefer the monsoon season from June to August.

For Chennai, go between October and February. The winter temperatures vary from 68F/20C to 77F/25C. March to June is humid and temperatures may soar to 104F/40C. July to September is the monsoon season with heavy rainfall and strong winds.
