DAY 2: VENICE WALKING TOUR AND GONDOLA RIDE
Explore Venice on a guided walking tour and on a Gondola ride (group, 2.5 hours @10am). The walking tour visits famous sites like La Fenice opera theatre and also discovers hidden gems like the spiral staircase of Scala Contarini del Bovolo. A gondola ride through the canals of the city is an enchanting and relaxing way to enjoy the colors, lights, sights, charm and beauty of Venice. Check out and transfer to the train station. Take the train from Venice to Florence (standard class 9: 38am -11:40am), then transfer to the hotel.
Explore Florence (or Firenze) on a guided walking tour (group, 1 hour). Visit landmark attractions such as a 15th century palace, Ponte Vecchio covered bridge and the courtyard of the Uffizi Gallery.
