Visit top attractions in Porto’s UNESCO World Heritage-listed historic center. Learn about Porto’s Roman roots and hear about the Moorish and Castilian invasions. Pose for photos in front of Porto Cathedral and Clerigos Tower. Admire the eye-catching Ponte de Dom Luis I – Porto’s iconic iron bridge, and the Douro River.

DAY 5: LISBON CITY WALKING TOUR
Today join your Best of Lisbon Walking Tour (small group, 3 hours @9:30am).
Visit central Lisbon’s major historical sites on a guided walking tour including Carmo Church, Commerce Square, and Rossio Central Station. Stroll through Lisbon’s oldest district, Alfama, and the elegant Chiado neighborhood. Learn about Fado music and Lisbon’s history and culture.

DAY 6: LISBON PERSONALIZED EXCURSION DAY
After breakfast, join one of the following options included in this tour.
OPTION 1: GUIDED DAY TOUR OF SINTRA, PENA, REGALEIRA, CABO DA ROCA & CASCAIS (group, 10 hours @8am)
Spend the day in the charming Sintra region. Including guided tours of the colorful Pena Palace (a Romanticist castle) and the mystical Quinta da Regaleira (with its mystical house and gardens). There is time to walk around the UNESCO World Heritage-listed town center of Sintra. Continue on the coast to visit the seaside town of Cabo da Roca and picturesque fishing village of Cascais.
OPTION 2: FÁTIMA, NAZARÉ, AND ÓBIDOS DAY TRIP (small group, 9 hours @8:30am)
Visit the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima which is a center of Catholic faith and a popular pilgrimage destination.
Enjoy a full-day guided bus tour that takes you from Lisbon to Fatima.
Hear about the legend of the apparitions of the Virgin Mary at Fátima. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Batalha Monastery. Stop in the quaint fishing village of Nazaré. Journey along the coastal road to Lagoa de Óbidos. See some of the best 14th-century architecture in Portugal in Óbidos (also known as the “wedding present” town).
