Siem Reap | The Temples of Angkor

Today, we see an astonishing profusion of ancient monuments in both size and number. Not to mention the intricate artistry of an idealized representation of the Hindu cosmos carved in stone.
Visit the National Angkor Museum for an introduction to the story of Angkor and the Khmer empire before exploring the famed temples. Visit Angkor Wat, this iconic temple complex is considered the heart of Cambodia. It is crowned with five soaring towers and embellished with intricate sculptures and cravings. Continue to “Great City” of Angkor Thom with 54 towers, each decorated with 4 huge mysterious smiling faces. Let’s wonder through the extensive grounds including grand Bayon Temple, the South Gate, Baphuon, the Terrace of the Elephant and the Leper King. Hike up Phnom Bakheng Temple complex for a spectacular sunset view of Angkor Wat.

Siem Reap | Banteay Srei, Ta Prohm, Floating Villages

After breakfast, start out for the countryside to Banteay Srei before the crowds arrive. This 10th-century rose-pink sandstone temple is probably the best-preserved and elaborately decorated monument of the entire Angkor complex. With fewer tourists around, there is ample opportunity to enjoy the intricate bas reliefs up close and in the soft early morning light.
Followed by the Citadel of Women, the royal bathing place of Srah Srang, and the unique brick sculptures in Prasat Kravan. Visit the jungle-smothered ruins of Ta Prohm, one of the most evocative of all Angkor’s ancient monuments. It is half-consumed by the encroaching forest. This was a filming location for the movie Lara Croft: Tomb Raider. Take an interesting boat trip on Southeast Asia’s largest freshwater lake, Tonlé Sap Lake, to observe life on the lake.  Visit the fascinating lakeside floating villages of Kampong Phluk with floating houses and stilted houses.
If time permits, we visit the Artisans d’Angkor which supports Cambodian arts and crafts, and Siem Reap Market. Discover how wood and stone carvings, lacquering, gilding, and silk paintings are made.

Luang Prabang | City Tour, Khuangsi Waterfall

Luang Prabang blends together the architectural styles of Laos and colonial France. The whole town is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Start at the National Museum at the former Royal Palace. Explore the richness of Lao culture, from the days of the early kings right through to the last sovereign. Followed by visiting a trail of temples (wat) including Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham, Wat Mai that is famous for its gold bas-relief, Wat Sensoukarahm for its golden façade and the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong which represents classical Laotian architecture.
Drive to the staggering 200 feet tall Khuang Si Waterfalls that is one of Southeast Asia’s most spectacular waterfalls. Return to town and take a gentle 300 step walk up to Mount Phousi, Luang Prabang’s highest hill to see the sacred stupa and a spectacular panoramic view.

Luang Prabang | Morning Market, Pak Ou cave

Visit the morning market and return to the hotel for breakfast. Then cruise upstream on the Mekong River with a visit to the mysterious Pak Ou Caves. We will also visit villages known for rice wine making, silk weaving and traditional Saa paper-making.

Luang Prabang - Hanoi | Organic Rice Farm

Spending a morning as a traditional rice farmer at the Living Land Rice Farm. A day to learn the 14 steps for turning rice seeds into edible sticky rice, natural herbs and traditional medicine. Try your hands at farming and at a handicraft workshop. Lunch at the farm overlooking the surrounding rice fields.

Hanoi – Full Day City Tour

Hanoi is one of the most ancient capitals in the world. Travelers can find well-preserved colonial buildings, ancient pagodas, and unique museums within the city center.
