Evening view of Boudhanath Stupa, Kathmandu, Nepal
Boudhanath is one of the largest spherical stupas (akin to a mausoleum) in the world with a massive mandala. The stupa has Buddha’s eyes and eyebrows painted on. Between them, the numeral one (in Devanagari script) is painted in the fashion of a nose. Boudhanath is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is one of the most popular tourist sites in the Kathmandu area.
