DAY 1: VIENNA
Arrive at Vienna Airport and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free.
Vienna, the capital of Austria, is a city rich in history, culture, and art. You will see the Gothic Cathedral and Schönbrunn Palace (a former imperial summer residence with stunning gardens and opulent rooms). Vienna was the home of great composers like Mozart, Beethoven, and Strauss. Don’t forget to relax in a Viennese coffee house, enjoy traditional Viennese coffee and pastries; also sample Wiener Schnitzel and Sachertorte. Vienna is a gateway to the Salzkammergut region that is renowned for its stunning natural beauty and charming villages, and to Bratislava, the beautiful capital city of Slovakia.

DAY 2: VIENNA | SCHÖNBRUNN PALACE & GARDENS
This morning you will join the Schönbrunn Palace & Gardens Skip-the-Line Tour (group, 2 hours @10:30am).
On this guided tour we explore Vienna’s Schönbrunn Palace and its marvelous royal gardens. Discover the history of the palace and hear entertaining stories from a licensed guide. Marvel at the 120 foot long Great Gallery and the Hall of Ceremonies. Get a peek into the life of the royal Habsburg family and Empress Sissi. On this tour you’ll skip long entrance lines and enjoy more time to explore the lush green gardens.

This morning, board your bus and depart to the stunning region of Salzkammergut. Your first stop is the Schloss Ort, a snow-white castle where countless couples dream of celebrating their wedding. Continue to the heart of the Salzkammergut region, the fabulous town of Hallstatt (with traditional Alpine houses) set on the shores of an azure-blue lake. Ascend to the Skywalk (lift ticket is included) to enjoy breathtaking views over the town, lake, and mountains.
OPTION 2: VIENNA TO BRATISLAVA AND BUDAPEST TOUR (small group, 14 Hours @8am)
Journey by bus to Bratislava, the beautiful capital city of Slovakia. The old town has charming cobblestone streets and is filled with historic buildings, squares, and delightful cafes. Of course, the city has its own historic castle and cathedral. Stroll around the city and enjoy shopping.
Continue to Budapest, the capital of Hungary, and be captivated by its striking architecture and vibrant cultural scene.

DAY 4: VIENNA – SALZBURG, SALZBURG WALKING TOUR
Take the train from Vienna train station to Salzburg (standard class included, round-trip transfer between hotel and train station included).
This afternoon, we join the Salzburg Walking Tour featuring Mozart, Mirabell Gardens (group, 2 hours @2pm).
Explore the Old Town of Salzburg with a licensed guide. Visit the Mirabell Gardens, a filming location of the Sound of Music movie. Learn about the life and music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. See Mozart’s birthplace, Salzburg Cathedral, the residence, and more.
Salzburg was Mozart’s birthplace and its connection to the iconic movie “The Sound of Music”. The city has a historic fortress, cathedral and a charming old town by the Salzach river. Taste Nockerl (a local dessert) and visit a beer garden.

After breakfast, join the Original Sound of Music Tour (group, 4 hours @9:15am). Visit the locations used in the filming of “The Sound of Music”. Hear songs from the original movie soundtrack and sing along.

DAY 6: SALZBURG – INNSBRUCK
Take the train from Salzburg train station to Innsbruck (standard class included, round-trip transfer between hotel and train station included).
In the evening, we enjoy a Tyrolean Evening Show with Dinner (group, 1.5 Hours @8:30pm)
Tyrolean dances are traditional folk dances originating from the Tyrol region, which spans parts of Austria and Italy. These dances are an integral part of Tyrolean culture and heritage.
Listen to authentic Austrian folk music as performed by the Gundolf Family. Enjoy traditional Tyrolean dances, such as the “shoe-slapping” dance. Be amazed as singers show off their yodeling prowess.
Innsbruck is nestled in the heart of the Austrian Alps, and offers breathtaking mountain views and a picturesque landscape. Innsbruck is the capital city of Tyrol province. It also has an Old Town, historic palace and castle. Enjoy traditional Tyrolean cuisine, such as Tiroler Gröstl (a hearty potato dish), Kaiserschmarrn (a fluffy shredded pancake), and local sausages.

DAY 7: INNSBRUCK PRIVATE TOUR
This morning, explore the pretty streets and parks with your guide leading the way. (private, 1.5 hours @10:30am). Admire spectacular views over the Austrian Alps from your vantage point atop the Nordkette peak.
